Our story.

In 2016, we embarked on our first big adventure…

I had just turned 21, and Tom was 23. We quit our jobs, sold nearly everything we owned, and packed our backpacks for a one-way ticket from Australia to Europe. Over the next six months, we journeyed across the UK and Europe, soaking in every moment of this life-changing experience. It was during this trip that we caught the travel bug, and we’ve been hooked ever since.
While exploring, we realized that the typical "9-to-5" life wasn’t for us. So, we decided to carve our own path. I started a successful dog accessories business called *My Pupper*, while Tom pursued various ventures, learning and growing through each one. We continued to travel extensively over the next three years, visiting over 40 countries and experiencing unforgettable moments—like hot air ballooning over Cappadocia, marveling at the Pyramids of Egypt, and going on a safari in Zimbabwe.
In 2019, we got married, and after a whirlwind “adventure-moon,” we took on a new project—converting an old Nissan Civilian bus into our home on wheels. After four months of hard work, we had our cozy little bus, *Sunny*, ready to hit the road, with our four-legged companion, Elsa, by our side. We spent the next six months traveling around Australia, running our businesses remotely, but we felt like something was missing.
That “something” arrived in September 2020 when we welcomed our first daughter, Mila. This was during a challenging time globally, and with travel on hold, we sold the bus and settled down on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland. But even while rooted at home, our passion for exploration stayed alive. As the world began to open up again, we adopted a "6 & 2" routine—working for six weeks, then traveling for two. This gave us the chance to rediscover the beauty of our own country and fall in love with Australia all over again.
By August 2022, our second daughter, Cali, joined our family, and our dream of becoming a full-time traveling family felt closer than ever. When Cali was six months old and Mila was two-and-a-half, we made the leap—putting our belongings into storage and moving into a caravan. We spent the next four months savoring the simplicity of life on the road, which led us to invest in our very own Wildtrail Caravan.
Over the next year and a half, we completed a lap around Australia, soaking in its diverse landscapes and hidden gems. We even took the girls overseas for the first time, with a three-week trip to Japan in March 2024. After our big lap, we felt ready for a new adventure. We flew to the UK and spent three months exploring Europe, living week by week in different areas. From wandering through fairytale villages in France to climbing the peaks of the Dolomites and indulging in gelato in Tuscany, our love for travel had reignited.
Now, with both our daughters a little older, we’re embracing the world of full-time travel once more and sharing our adventures on YouTube @ourwanderingheartstv and occasionally on Instagram @ourwanderinghearts
